The Kogi are an indigenous group that resides isolated in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains in northern Colombia, and do not receive groups or hold tours or ceremonies for outsiders. Their traditions inspire us to culturally anchor and truly implement regenerative thinking and action on an individual, social and ecological level. Their perspectives form the basis for future fitness and a life-supporting society. Their “medicine” is their “word” and they decided to break their silence and isolation to deliver a strong message to protect the planet at PAUA Paris.

Rosane TXUKU KAYTXI, daughter of Puwe and Vari, and granddaughter of Mário Mãpa, historical leader of the PUYANAWA people and of the Indigenous movement in Acre in the 1980s and 1990s. Txuku is an artisan, singer, composer, and painter, and has been initiated in the spiritual traditions since she was a child with her parents. This is a rare and exclusive opportunity to connect and immerse into one of the last and oldest intact tribe wisdom keepers on the Earth. The Kogi (or Kaggaba) are an indigenous people living in the mountains of northern Colombia. They call themselves the guardians of the Earth. They are known for their deep wisdom, spirituality and very advanced energetical understanding of ecology. The people maintain a 4000-year-old tradition of sending their mamos and shamans into a dark cave for 18 years to receive one of the hardest spiritual trainings on earth.

During our gathering the Kogi elders will give us deep insights on the mysteries of the Universe as their traditions have cultivated. We will dive into how they see nature as a teacher and what spiritual practices they use, how they care for nature and contribute to its vitality. They will share from their culture and together we will engage in a dialogue about how we can integrate indigenous knowledge into the modern and learn tools on how they deal with conflicts, partnerships and love.

We are convinced that this one-day immersion offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable information from the Kogi culture and wisdom. We look forward to learning and growing together with the elders.
